About Amy

Amy is a wildlife, landscape, and adventure photographer. When not traveling, she can be found in Pittsboro, North Carolina, though she's home as little as possible. Amy loves to explore near and far, but you can usually find her somewhere cold in the mountains with a diet coke in hand.  At home, she's a mom of two boys and official dog walker of the most high-maintenance chocolate lab out there.

"My goal with photography is always to capture the raw and untamed beauty of my subjects. Through my photos, I encourage viewers to appreciate and protect the diverse ecosystems of our planet. I invite everyone to join me on this journey, to explore the wonders of our world through my lens, and to take part in the mission to protect and preserve our planet." ~ Amy

I learned SO much

I am so happy that I signed up for this course. I learned so much throughout the 4 weeks of the course. What is most amazing to me is how much I was able to put into use immediately. The weekly assignments provided an opportunity to take the lessons learned and put them into practice right away. When I look at shots I had taken before taking this class, I can easily see the things I could have done to make them better. Such a valuable lesson. I know that, going forward, my wildlife photography will be much improved because of this course. I may look silly being the only photographer sitting on the ground to take pictures of a bear across the stream but, I know that I have a much better chance of taking a great photo because of it. I would love to add some CC on the class but, quite sincerely, I can't think of anything that would make it better. I can't wait for future courses to help me take my wildlife photography skills even further. Thank you so much Amy. You are the best!

Just what I needed!

Amy's class if full of great information, I learned a lot about wildlife photography as I had not taken a class like this before. She is amazing in sharing her knowledge, answering all questions and in critiquing images and giving suggestions. I feel better prepared in going forward on my own wildlife photo journey.
